Accessibility Statement

This website voluntarily aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. As a micro-enterprise (fewer than 10 employees, annual turnover below €2 million), this website is likely exempt from the mandatory requirements of the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG, in force since 28 June 2025) — the measures described here are nonetheless implemented voluntarily.

Measures Implemented

  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are operable via keyboard
  • Skip link: "Skip to main content" available for keyboard users
  • Screen reader support: ARIA attributes on all interactive elements (navigation, forms, FAQ accordion)
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus outlines during keyboard navigation
  • Alternative texts: All meaningful images have descriptive alt attributes
  • Language declaration: HTML language attribute correctly set (lang="de" / lang="en")
  • Colour contrast: Text contrast ratios meet at least the AA standard (4.5:1)
  • Form accessibility: All form fields labelled with explicit labels and ARIA attributes
  • Heading hierarchy: H1–H3 used semantically throughout

Known Limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing process. WCAG 2.1 AA compliance has been targeted throughout the site, however no formal independent audit has yet been conducted.
